Grain & Color variation of Timber Floors
When choosing your natural timber floors you should take into consideration that as you will never see two identical trees, you will never find two boards that look the same.
Within the same batch of a determined timber floor, the boards’ colours will oscillate from darker to lighter and the same will occur with the floors’ grain pattern (cracks, knots, wavy lines, straight lines, gum veins, etc.) The grain variation determines the grade of your floor, resulting on floors looking more rustic, smoother, shinier, warmer…
It’s always better to choose your natural timber floors having grain and colour variations in mind to avoid “unnatural expectations” in the long run.
