The Blue Angel is the ecolabel of the federal government of Germany since 1978. The Blue Angel sets high standards for environmentally friendly product design and has proven itself over the past 40 years as a reliable guide for a more sustainable consumption.
Our products have also been given the Blue Angel seal of approval. It is a designation of which we are quite proud.

Our label for the environment
Do you want to live, shop, construct, renovate or equip an office in an environmentally-conscious way? The Blue Angel environmental label makes this possible: Around 12,000 environmentally-friendly products and services from around 1,500 companies have been awarded the Blue Angel. If you use products or services holding the Blue Angel ecolabel, you can be sure that you are doing something good for yourself, the environment and the future. This is because the Blue Angel is an environmental label organised by the federal government of Germany for the protection of people and the environment. It sets very exacting standards, is independent and has proven itself over more than 40 years as a guide for selecting environmentally-friendly products.
What is behind it?
Products and services that have been awarded the Blue Angel ecolabel are more environmentally-friendly than other comparable, standard products and services.
Many consumers ask themselves the question: “How can I purchase products and services without having any misgivings?” Every time you purchase a product or service, you ultimately decide either directly or indirectly about its impact on water, soil, air or your own health. In order to enable you to make your purchasing decisions based on environmental aspects, you require reliable and trustworthy information about the environmentally-relevant and health-related effects caused by a product. And this is precisely where the Blue Angel can provide you with assistance.
The Blue Angel guarantees that a product or service meets high standards when it comes to its environmental, health and performance characteristics. In the process, these products and services are always evaluated across their entire life cycle. Criteria are developed for each individual product group that must be fulfilled by those products and services awarded with the Blue Angel. And in order to reflect technological advances, the Federal Environmental Agency reviews these criteria every three to four years. This process requires companies to constantly improve the environmental friendliness of their products over time.
